Western religion is the tradition of Judeo-Christian faith that is prevalent in the Western world, particularly in the domestic context. The development of modern secularism has been closely connected to this tradition. However, it did not evolve in a vacuum. Instead, it evolved within a specific cultural context and ideologies. Some people still practice traditional Western religions. Others have abandoned their faith and are hostile to it.
Christianity
If you think that Christianity is only a western religion, you're wrong. This religion is a global phenomenon. It's practiced by people in more than 190 countries. It is a powerful force and aims to unify people from all regions. Its doctrines are held dear to its followers.
Despite Christianity being the dominant religion in Western World, it has been changing for quite some time. Christianity is much more prominent in other parts than in the West. This shift in numerical strength is only part of the story. Many Eastern groups have maintained that Christianity is a Western religion.

Marxism
While some Christians may question whether Marxism can be considered a religion or political philosophy, most Christians agree with them. Both are religions. The Christian faith believes that God created man. It also teaches that he is an individual and not just a collection. Marxism rejects this view and asserts that man is socially and culturally interdependent.
Marx is not an atheist, but he was a very materialistic man who had strong leanings towards science and a strict admiration for scientific inquiry. Marx's atheism manifested itself in his opposition of religious belief.
Progressivism
Progressivism, a Western religion, is an idea that strives to make the world better by replacing old beliefs with newer ones. This religion doesn't rely on divine revelation to guide it. It tries to rectify the mistakes of the past to create a new future. Progressivism rejects any notion of a soul, and seeks to replace this idea with an artificial, naturalistic reality. However, while Progressivism seeks to eliminate old beliefs and replace them with new ones, it also offers hope for society.
Progressives believe humankind is on "the right" side of history and can identify History's goals. They believe progress is inevitable because of the changing of human values. This eventually leads to an idealized history that does not include religion and classes. Unfortunately, this view doesn't have any scientific basis and is based on an extreme ideological and religious outlook.

Eastern Orthodox Church
Some people in the Western world believe that the Eastern Orthodox Church is a Western religion. This is unwarranted. Concern has been raised by a recent incident. One priest of the Orthodox Church was temporarily suspended for wearing a cassock during a rally supporting Unite the Right in Washington, D.C. Other clergy have also expressed political views in personal blogs and social media.
Orthodox Christianity is centered on the Holy Trinity. It transcends Western religions. Orthodox Christians believe Christ died on the cross, entered Hell and rose again to save souls who had been condemned by their original sin. In the process, he cured mankind of its guilt and released it from Hell.
