The Toltecs worshiped many gods, including the goddess that controls drought and the lords of grass. They also worshiped a god called'sadwater', which represents hopelessness and austerity. These gods were believed to be related to the Sun, who they worshiped as a god. They were also associated to a southern Hummingbird, which was believed to be the god of war in Tula. They also worshiped Venus which they considered the creator God.

Maya prayers are a mesoamerican religion that acknowledges the seven directions. Each direction can bestow a specific blessing. You must say the Maya prayer to each direction when you ask for a present. This is an important act in Maya culture to show respect and honor. Mayas ask for permission to plough land or harvest corn.

Mesoamerican religious history revealed that the Aztec worldview was complex and multifaceted. It also included elements from other Mesoamerican religions. These beliefs included the cosmological principles, human sacrifice, as well as the moon and sun Gods. This religion was central to Aztec culture and was practiced at all levels.
