There are many benefits to believing in many gods. This religion is a way to avoid many of the problems that monotheism can cause, such as evil and omnipresence. People who practice polytheism tend to be more accepting of other gods. Both of these issues can be avoided by practicing polytheism better than monotheism.
Monotheism
Monotheistic religion emphasizes God's uniqueness. The Mosaic documents were the foundation of the monotheistic religion in Israel. From multiple gods believed in, the concept of one God was born.
Polytheism
Polytheism (or believing in multiple gods) is a religious practice that involves believers worshipping several gods. While polytheism can be confused with paganism and is a separate category, it is not. Some polytheistic religions worship all gods equally, while others place gods in hierarchical order. In each case, they have different powers. Each may not be capable of fulfilling the wishes of its followers.
Henotheism
Henotheism, also known as polytheism, is a belief that many gods exist. While henotheists do not deny the existence of other deities, they do believe that there is only one primary deity. The Greek words 'heise', meaning one, and 'theos, meaning God are the origins of the term henotheism. Henotheism, unlike monotheism, is more personal than a religious obligation.
Pantheism
Pantheism, a philosophy that believes multiple gods, is called Pantheism. This philosophy emphasizes science and inquiry. They believe that knowledge of the universe can lead to understanding God. This philosophy does NOT require any belief in the afterlife or strict rituals. This philosophy is found in many nonChristian religions.
Animism
Animism is the belief in many gods and spirits. Animists believe everything is interconnected, even humans and animals. They believe that all things are spiritual, but not all spirits share the same characteristics. Pantheists believe everything is one spiritual essence. However, animists believe everything has multiple spirits with distinct personalities. Animists consider themselves to be part of nature and equal with other forces.
Plant deities

Polytheistic rulers
Polytheism doesn't have a fixed system. It is a flexible framework which allows local cults in different contexts. Polytheism has many gods as opposed to monotheism. Polytheism can be seen as an evolutionary stage. Scholars have rejected the notion that it is. They believe that multiple gods reflect an imbalance of cultural thought.
