All atheists are polytheists
Polytheism is a way for thinking that allows for more thorough critiques of religion. It recognizes the fact that not all deities can be worshipped equally. Idols are our intercessors with Allah
It is dangerous to believe idols are intercessors with Allah. This belief stems from the false notion that Allah is a body located in a specific place. Worshipping an idol is not the best way to worship Allah.
The Quran warns us against idolatry, and says that idolaters believe in independent intercession. They believe the idols can be effective, even if Allah does not give them permission.

Polytheists are living religions whose practice is rooted in the understanding of the relationship between human beings and gods. These religions have been often associated with the old world. However, they have evolved to monotheistic societies. The cultic life of ancient Greeks and Romans included gods.
Although polytheists can hold many beliefs and practices, there is a common thread among them. Most polytheistic religious practices have their roots in local culture. These communities have survived genocide or colonization in certain areas.
They face the same challenges of modernity as monotheists
The same challenges are faced by polytheists today as monotheists. Monotheism's evolutionary claims, as well as its alleged historical inevitability, should be treated with suspicion. Members of native polytheistic traditions should also be careful not to align themselves with such claims. They should instead ask themselves if their beliefs could tip the balance in real-time.
Monotheism developed as a result of competing groups seeking authority and not as a victory of one group over another. The golah community created monotheistic ideals that delegitimized the gods of the community and undermined its claim to the land.
