Monotheism & Polytheism

the world''s religions

All atheists and polytheists are polytheists

Polytheism is a way of thinking that allows for a more comprehensive critique of religion. It recognizes that not all deities are created equally. Some polytheists only worship one deity, while others worship many deities at once. While monotheists complain about the inconsistency of polytheism, polytheists are open to a diversity of beliefs.

Like any belief system, atheism has its pros and disadvantages. Many experts disagree on the degree of polytheism found in atheists. Others affirm that all atheists believe there is at least one God.

Allah has interceded through our idols.

It is dangerous to believe that idols are intercessors for Allah. This belief is based on the misconception that Allah is a body in a particular place. The only way to worship Allah is through Allah, and worshiping an idol will not do that.

The Quran warns us against idolatry, and says that idolaters believe in independent intercession. They believe the idols can be effective, even if Allah does not give them permission.

They are living religions

Polytheists are living religions that focus on understanding the relationship between gods and humans. These religions have been often associated with the old world. However, they have evolved to monotheistic societies. In ancient Greek and Roman societies, gods were a part of their cultic life.

While polytheists may have different beliefs and practices than others, they share some common traits. In many cases, the roots of polytheistic religious practice are found in local culture. In some areas, these communities have survived genocide and colonization.

They are subject to the same modern challenges as monotheists

Modernity has brought polytheists the same problems that monotheists. Monotheism's claims of evolutionary inevitability and historical inevitability need to be looked at with caution. Members of polytheistic traditions must be cautious about aligning with such claims. They should be asking themselves if they believe that their beliefs will change the world in real time.

Monotheism was born out of rival groups seeking authority. It wasn't a triumph for one over the others. The golah community created monotheistic ideals that delegitimized the gods of the community and undermined its claim to the land.
