All atheists and polytheists are polytheists

Allah has interceded through our idols.
It is dangerous to believe that idols are intercessors for Allah. This belief is based on the misconception that Allah is a body in a particular place. The only way to worship Allah is through Allah, and worshiping an idol will not do that.
The Quran warns us against idolatry, and says that idolaters believe in independent intercession. They believe the idols can be effective, even if Allah does not give them permission.

They are subject to the same modern challenges as monotheists
Modernity has brought polytheists the same problems that monotheists. Monotheism's claims of evolutionary inevitability and historical inevitability need to be looked at with caution. Members of polytheistic traditions must be cautious about aligning with such claims. They should be asking themselves if they believe that their beliefs will change the world in real time.
Monotheism was born out of rival groups seeking authority. It wasn't a triumph for one over the others. The golah community created monotheistic ideals that delegitimized the gods of the community and undermined its claim to the land.
