Are atheism and other religions protected by Constitution? Let's discuss the arguments and definitions of atheism. We'll also discuss why atheism has been declared a religion and whether or not the Constitution recognizes it as a religious belief. Atheism is a philosophical view that rejects the existence of any god.
Arguments against atheism
Atheism, a philosophy that rejects God's existence, is called atheism. Many forms of atheism exist, and they all reject the notion that there is a Supreme God. These religions include the classical Greek, African and Hindu religions. Some atheists are against the idea of a god.
Atheism is supported by the lack of evidence that gods exist. The belief that gods exist is founded on the belief in a supreme being, which is not subject to nature's laws. Accordingly, it is up to the believer's burden of proof that an inexplicable entity exists.

Epicurus was one of many philosophers who developed materialistic theories in order to challenge religious belief. Even though he believed gods existed, Epicurus claimed that they were indifferent to human affairs and that they did not care about them. This philosophy was called ataraxia by the Epicureans, who sought to implement it.
Definition of atheism, a religion
Atheists believe in a God. But that doesn't make them reject all religions. Some of them do. Some have even joined theistic communities. Atheism must be understood as a religion and not a philosophic 'no god'.
Many definitions exist for the term "atheist" with each having its own pros or cons. According to the Encyclopedia of Philosophy, an atheist is someone who denies the existence of God. Others believe God doesn't exist and religions are false.
This second definition is too broad. The word "atheism", as it is commonly used, is too broad. Fideistic believers for example believe that God exists, despite the low likelihood of this belief. They believe in God as they require higher powers to make sense out of life. Atheism doesn't distinguish them.

Is the Constitution able to protect atheist religions?
The First Amendment protects everyone's rights to worship God. However, the establishment clause of the Constitution prohibits governments from favoring or establishing a specific religion. This clause also forbids discrimination against atheists.
